About this coloring page
This enchanting illustration features a cheerful mermaid with long flowing hair and a starfish clip waving alongside a friendly dolphin. The scene is set deep in the ocean, complete with wavy sea currents, rising bubbles, and decorative coral branches. The drawing uses bold, clean black outlines that make it easy for children to stay within the lines while providing enough detail in the mermaid's scales and the sea life to keep them engaged. This fantasy-themed page is perfect for kids aged 4 to 8 who love marine life and mythical creatures. It serves as a wonderful quiet-time activity for home or as a creative addition to a classroom lesson about the ocean.
How to color this page
- Use a glitter pen or metallic gel markers to make the mermaid's tail scales shimmer like real fish scales.
- Try using several different shades of blue and green for the ocean waves to create a sense of depth.
- Color the bubbles with a very light blue and leave a small white spot in each to make them look shiny and translucent.
- Use bright, vibrant colors like pink, orange, or purple for the starfish and coral to make them pop against the blue water.
Who is this page for?
This printable coloring page is made for the Happy Starter age group. Younger children can color the large shapes first and add the small details later — there is no wrong way to color it.
What you need
A printer, a sheet of A4 or US Letter paper and your favourite crayons, coloured pencils or markers. Thicker paper (120 gsm or more) works best with felt tip pens so the colours do not bleed through.
