About this coloring page
This educational coloring sheet features a large uppercase letter D next to a friendly, sitting puppy. Below the main illustration, the phrase D is for Dog is written in a clear, bold font designed for easy coloring. The drawing uses thick, clean black outlines and large open spaces, making it ideal for toddlers and preschoolers who are just learning to stay within the lines. This activity is perfect for home or classroom use to help children associate the letter D with its sound through a recognizable animal character. The simple design allows young learners to focus on basic motor skills while reinforcing their knowledge of the alphabet.
How to color this page
- Use a bright color like yellow or blue for the large letter D to make it stand out on the page.
- Try using brown, black, or even spots to give the puppy a unique coat pattern.

- Use thick crayons or markers which are easier for small hands to control in these large shapes.
Who is this page for?
This printable coloring page is made for the Easy Peasy age group. Younger children can color the large shapes first and add the small details later — there is no wrong way to color it.
What you need
A printer, a sheet of A4 or US Letter paper and your favourite crayons, coloured pencils or markers. Thicker paper (120 gsm or more) works best with felt tip pens so the colours do not bleed through.
