About this coloring page
This adorable coloring sheet features a friendly, smiling camel standing among rolling desert dunes under a cheerful sun. The drawing is composed of bold, thick black outlines that make it very easy for toddlers and preschoolers to stay within the lines. The simple composition includes large open spaces on the camel's body and the sun's rays, providing a stress-free creative experience for little hands. It is an ideal resource for a classroom lesson about desert habitats, a quiet rainy afternoon at home, or as a themed activity for an 'All Around the World' party. The clear shapes help children focus on basic color recognition and motor skill development while having fun.
How to color this page
- Use thick wax crayons or washable markers to easily fill in the wide sections between the bold lines.
- Start by coloring the large sun in the corner with a bright yellow or orange to set a warm desert mood.
- Experiment with different shades of brown or tan for the camel's fur to give it a more realistic desert look.
- Try using a light blue or pale yellow for the background dunes to make the main character pop forward.
Who is this page for?
This printable coloring page is made for the Easy Peasy age group. Younger children can color the large shapes first and add the small details later — there is no wrong way to color it.
What you need
A printer, a sheet of A4 or US Letter paper and your favourite crayons, coloured pencils or markers. Thicker paper (120 gsm or more) works best with felt tip pens so the colours do not bleed through.
